2nd/3rd Grade Teacher
Hi there! My name is Kenzie, and I am super excited to be an Emerson Otter! I grew up in a small town outside Seattle, and went to a multi-age elementary school with blended grade classrooms as well. The 2-3 class was my favorite as a kid, so I’m thrilled to get to be one of the 2-3 teachers! I am an enthusiastic teacher who loves building strong classroom community and having a space where learning is engaging and fun! :)
I got my bachelor’s degree at Western Washington University, and was a part of their cheer team for 3 years! After graduation, I moved to Portland and did a year of long-term subbing for 2nd grade, then two years of teaching 2nd grade. Outside of school, I love to dance, go to concerts, read, and hangout with friends.
